Since 1989, CompUSA has been relying on the forté
back-office and point-of-sale solution to run its retail and direct-channel
order-entry systems. The software and services that IMS produced have been
integral to aiding this well-known chain's growth from a single store to two
hundred within 10 years. To this day, IMS continues to provide software and
services to CompUSA.
Insight, a one-billion-dollar-per-year mail-order
computer reseller, has utilized the forté back-office systems since its
inception in 1988. The application and language products utilized at Insight
have allowed the forté infrastructure we originally installed to grow
with the company from 28 users in 1988 to an excess of 1,000 on-line users.
Today, IMS and Insight are technology partners, working together to continually
improve Insight's back-office systems.
Technology Integration Group
(formerly MicroAge of San Diego), an industry leader selling direct to
corporate, educational and government accounts, relies exclusively on the
forté back-office systems and an IMS e-Commerce interface. The systems
are linked directly to distributors including Ingram Micro and TechData. With
this virtual automated drop-ship environment, TIG efficiently meets the product
and customer service needs of their broad customer base.
Computer Gate, a nationally
known mail order company selling computer products and supplies, recently
implemented both the forté back-office system and the IMS e-Commerce
system. With seamless integration from their browser-based storefront, Computer
Gate manages their virtual and traditional orders in one Web-based environment.
Computer Gate's Web site consistently ranks among the top 50 commerce sites on
the Web.

Dalco Electronics has been an IMS client since 1994. They
utilize the forté back-office system to handle their high-volume
business, selling computer peripherals and supplies. Dalco recently contracted
IMS to interface its Web storefront directly to the forté back-office
system through the use of IMS's e-Commerce solution.
Hi-Val is a well-known manufacturer of CD, CD-ROM, DVD
and DVD-ROM equipment and titles. They began their business utilizing the
forté back-office system, and have since seen it grow from a dozen
employees to several hundred. IMS has provided the back-office solutions to
handle that growth.
McBride and Associates are large
resellers to the government. They currently utilize the forté back-office
system. The application was tailored to meet the unique requirements for selling
specifically to the government. A project is currently underway to implement an
IMS e-Commerce solution that incorporates many required features unique to
servicing government contracts.
The Internet Revenue Network (IRN)
selected IMS as its core developer of an Internet-based authentication system.
The IRN, utilizing IMS's technology, is committed to becoming a leader in
digital signature authentication on the Web.
QPS, a nationally-known manufacturer of sophisticated CD
recording and duplication equipment, has recently launched an IMS e-Commerce
site to handle all of its business-to-business transactions.
Technology Distribution Network (TDN) selected the IMS
e-Commerce solution to handle computer and computer peripheral sales to both the
end-user and the reseller. IMS manages and hosts the site, downloading products
